CNTC censures minister Imna Along’s remarks

Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) censured what it described as “disparaging words” used by minister for higher education & tourism, Temjen Imna Along, while mentioning CNTC during his speech at National Youth Peace Convention held at Chümoukedima on October 1, 2023.

Central Nagaland Tribes Council through its media cell termed as “very unfortunate” that the minister chose to “mock his own family” while calling for Naga unity. CNTC said it was “unbecoming” of a person holding an elected position who seemed to have conveniently forgotten his roots of existence.
CNTC lamented that those elected leaders were feigning ignorance about CNTC formation and existence despite having attended meetings called by CNTC.

Therefore, CNTC said it would be reaching out to refresh the memories in order to grow together as family and work towards unity of the Naga society as desired by every right-thinking people.
