CNTC, constituent units agree on ‘free and fair’ ULB polls

Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) and its three Dimapur-based constituent units—Ao Senso Telongjem, Dimapur Sumi Council and Lotha Hoho Dimapur—at a consultative meeting held at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur on May 18, 2024 deliberated on the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) election.


CNTC through its media cell stated that at the meeting, all the members agreed on “free and fair” election without affecting the unity of the three tribes.
The three units were represented by their respective officials led by president while CNTC was represented by its officials led by president Khondao Ngully.


The meeting also discussed on maintaining unity among the people of Central Naga tribes—Ao, Sumi and Lotha—not only in Dimapur but across the state. Khondao Ngully, who spoke at the meeting, briefly highlighted the formation of CNTC and its objectives. He called for peaceful conduct of upcoming ULB election. He also appealed to the representatives to ensure that no members of the units were involved in unlawful activities during the election period.


The meeting concluded with the resolve to conduct such consultative meetings in future also so as to continue upholding CNTC’s motto “fraternity, solidarity and unity.”
