
Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has lauded Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH) for taking a “bold and pragmatic” step” to deal with anti-social elements. CNTC said that their “dynamic leadership” in coming forward and requesting the commissioner of police to furnish names and other details of arrested criminals belonging to the two communities so that action could be taken against them as per their respective customary laws.
According to CNTC, such bold and pragmatic steps set standards and reflects the vision of bridging the gap between different communities brought by anti-social elements within the Naga family. “This responsibility lies in all of us and has almost become an emergency and should be emulated by all others also,” CNTC stated.
