The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Natwar Thakkar, eminent Gandhian and a Padmashree awardee. CNTC in a condolence note through its media cell stated that his selfless service throughout his life for society and his core Gandhian principles made people call him Nagaland’s Gandhi. CNTC said that his humanitarian work towards upliftment of the lower strata of people will be always fondly cherished in memory by the Nagas. CNTC further conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty give them comfort in this hour of grief.
