DIMAPUR, MAY 29 (NPN): The newly elected team of the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC), led by president Hukiye Yepthomi, held its first executive council meeting at Hotel Cedar on Thursday.
According to a press release, the meeting was attended by Central Nagaland Tribes Council executives and office bearers, representatives of Ao Senden, Lotha Hoho and Sümi Hoho, as well as members of the Central Nagaland Women Association and the Central Nagaland Students’ Association.
During the meeting, the council resolved that the three tribes would work collectively to promote unity among the people of Nagaland, safeguard the rights of indigenous Nagas, and strive for development, fraternity, growth and harmony among all communities.
The CNTC also congratulated the Tribal Hohos of Nagaland on the formation of the Nagaland Tribal Hohos Coordination Committee (NTHCC), comprising the 15 recognised tribes of the state.
