CNWA, Watsü Mungdang discuss ULB election

Central Nagaland Women Association (CNWA) and Watsü Mungdang held a consultative meeting at Watsü Mungdang office on Wednesday. At the meeting, CNWA president, K Atoli Sema said that the three tribes’ women namely (Ao, Sema and Lotha) group should stay united and encouraged each other to take the women folk forward.


She also spoke on the participation of CNWA in women’s reservation. With the Urban Local Bodies election scheduled to be held on June 26, 2024 and out of the total 418 wards, 142 wards have been reserved for women. With 16 wards reserved for women in Mokokchung district, she lauded the Watsü Mungdang for taking good initiative for clean election and also organizing a common platform for the contestants which will go a long way in days to come.
