Co-ordination meeting in Bhandari

Co-coordination meeting of head of departments, school institutions, NGOs, Church leaders and land owner union was held at the Town Hall, Bhandari on April 30. According to DIPR, Bhandari Town Land Owners Union chairman, Khonthungo Odyuo, who chaired the meeting, said that the main objective of the meeting was to find better ways and encourage cooperation between the land donors and government departments. Lotha Lower Range Public Organization, president, C.Elithung Oduyo on behalf of BTLOU, requested the departmental heads to furnish the present employee status, the condition and state of the office buildings on which the departments are functioning and the state of their physical infrastructure, etc. Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Bhandari vice principal, Fr. Obed, who also spoke in the meeting, suggested that the road which passes through the premises of the school compound, if diverted will be helpful as it was not secure for the school. CDPO Bhandari, Peter Yanthan highlighted the urgent requirements of the departments and the immediate need of a land for CDPO office building. Meanwhile, members present at the meeting have agreed to uphold the ban on rampant destruction of forest, hunting and fishing with chemical, which is still in force within Bhandari jurisdiction.
