Coffee bar inaugurated at Phek town

Land resources department inaugurated a Fantasy Coffee Bar at clock tower, Phek town on August 16. The bar was inaugurated by deputy commissioner Phek, Razouvolie Dozo.

In a press release, district project officer, Phek informed that while speaking at the occasion, the DC lauded the department of land resources for making the Coffee Bar possible and also proprietor Salie Khesoh for taking up the venture.

Stressing on the need to have more hangout places in the town, Razouvolie hoped that the town would also have a Kiwi Wine Bar in the near future.

Stating that there were scopes for entrepreneurs to take up business activities in the town, he said it needed more innovative ideas and stressed on the need to train more people in baking, cooking and other activities.

Razouvolie also assured that the district administration would facilitate the training of the people so that they were employed and engaged in income generating activities.

Earlier, district project officer Phek, Levi Bennet said that there were more than 10 lakh standing coffee plants covering all the villages in Phek district.

Levi informed that about 300 kgs of coffee were expected to be harvested this year and that the department had provided 25 coffee pulper machines to progressive coffee farmers this year.

Earlier, the function was chaired by Neilhouvolie while proprietor FCB, Salie Khesoh proposed vote of thanks.
