Col (Dr) Smita takes charge as SSP principal

Col (Dr) Smita Misra, an officer of the Army Education Corps, assumed charge as the tenth Principal of Sainik School Punglwa on August 12.
Col (Dr) Misra holds a Ph.D. from MDS University, Ajmer, and brings with her a wealth of experience from various instructional and staff appointments across academic and defence institutions.
Prior to her posting at Sainik School Punglwa, she served as vice principal of Sainik School Kapurthala (Punjab), principal of Sainik School Ghorakhal (Uttarakhand), and chief instructor at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi from 2023 to 2025. She has been conferred with the COAS Army Chief Commendation Card in 2007 and the GOC-IN-C Southern Command Chief Commendation Card in 2018 for her dedicated service.
