Suren Colony citizens initiated construction of two CC roads stretching few kilometers, one in the heart of the colony and the other via Ganga post (Assam Rifle Camp).
A press release from Team Metamorphosis president, M. James Tungoe stated that, rather than waiting for government to initiate any development within their jurisdiction, the Suren Colony residents took up the noble initiative.
This new development will address problems of many households by providing free road access straight to their homes. Project was started with meagre collection of free will donation among the settlers, with some offering free labour, while some donated lands so that the long cherished goals of the colony people might become a reality.
Despite the paucity of fund collected, the project if completed will contribute immensely towards economic development and growth of the colony as well as Wokha town at large.
