Combined annual training camp for NCC cadets ends

Combined annual training camp of one NL Air Sqn NCC, for NCC cadets which commenced on July 4 concluded on Thursday.
The camp was aimed to impart military training, sense of discipline and team spirit and motivate the cadets to take part in social service and community development activities.
During the camp, as a part of training schedule the cadets were taught about tent pitching, drill, weapon training, firing practice, aero modelling training and various sports activities and games competitions.
Guest lecture was delivered by Sarita Yadav IAS of Peren and Vishal Chauhan, IPS, ACP, Dimapur to motivate the NCC cadets to inspire them to join civil services. The cadets were also taken to 155 Bn CRPF, Bokajan, Assam on July 8 for various weapons display and to get inspired to join defence services.  District Program Officer, NTCP, Dimapur, Dr C. Tetseo on behalf of CMO presented an enlightened lecture on anti tobacco on July 9 and the cadets set off a rally to the adjacent villages of this school to extend the consciousness of the threat of tobacco consumption.
To show the Military Lifestyle the cadets visited 12(I) R & O Flt &11 TAC, Military Stn Rangapahar, 3 Corps on July 10, where cadets were demonstrated the specification & flying capabilities of Chetak and Cheetah Helicopter and rules and duties of Tactical Air Centre (TAC). The camp culminated with a cultural programme on July 13.
