Students of Commerce from Dimapur Government College (DGC) paid a visit to Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency, Dimapur on June 30. The team was led by assistant professor E. Lichumthung Kikon, T. Zanthungo Ngullie and Nukshisangla Lemtur.
The purpose of the visit was part of the curriculum and to expose the students in the industrial sector as an informative, interesting, knowledgeable visit. The study team acknowledged and thanked the NBDA officials for the permission, support and encouragement while visiting the place.
The team also thanked Kivin Solo, member NBDA for enlightening them with the process involved in various stages of the bamboo production ranging from bamboo treatment, bamboo charcoal, bamboo mat and bamboo furniture etc.
Altogether 39, B.Com 5th semester students participated in the programme.
