Conclave on ‘YUVA Climate Change’

A conclave under a project titled, “Young Unheard Voices for Action (YUVA) for Climate Change” was organised by U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata in collaboration with Prodigal’s Home, Dimapur, partnered with BRIDGE, Bhutan Ecological Society, Bangladesh Youth Environment Initiative, and PlaceMaking Foundation, Manipur on January 30 at USA Pavilion, International Kolkata Book Fair, Kolkata.


A press release by Prodigal’s Home informed that the selected youth from India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan, pitched their ideas on climate action, to a panel jury-mentors comprising of experts, climate activists, development partners, and private sector entities. The conclave was aimed to help youth connect with other like-minded youth for coalition building, get support and further mentorship opportunities for their ideas, to ultimately lead to concrete on-grounds implementation and scaling-up of these climate action ideas.
