The Elite Cricket Club (ECC) kohima held inauguration of concrete cricket pitch at Rüzhükhrie Govt.Higher Secondary School Ground Kohima on October 7 at 3 pm.
Hynilo Anilo Khing, honorary secretary Nagaland Cricket Association, who was the special of guest of the program appreciated the Club was for coming together as one to promote the game of cricket and provide opportunities to young and budding cricketers from Kohima and the rest of the State.
Hynilo said that Kohima, once a strong cricketing district and a major contributor of Nagaland cricket, seems to be progressing slowly these days, lagging behind few other districts and appeal to all cricket lovers of Kohima to contribute the game for cricket and promote cricket in Kohima, adding that stakeholders need to come together and rebuilt the cricket community.
He also shared that the Elite Cricket Club has been one of the driving forces behind the success of cricket in Kohima and with the inception of Concrete cricket pitch, he hoped to see more players from Kohima.
