Neiphiu Rio: Lone Lok Sabha member from Nagaland Neiphiu Rio has expressed shock at the demise of late Mufti Sayeed, who was the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a condolence message, Rio described late Sayeed as one of the tallest leaders in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and a recognized leader even at the national level saying he was a symbol of regionalism and never wavered from his principles and ideologies.
The MP said late Sayeed made significant contributions towards peace, unity and nation building throughout his political career which spanned several decades.
As the sitting chief minister of J&K and being one of the most seasoned leaders, he still had many contributions to make towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation, Rio noted.
He said the void created by his demise would be difficult to fill and the State of J&K and the nation as a whole has lost a leader who has positively contributed towards the growth of India.
Though late Sayeed has passed away, Rio said his contributions would be remembered by the country for all times to come and that his message of peace, understanding and healing touch needs to be pursued in order to bring about permanent peace and brotherhood not just in the State of Jammu and Kashmir but throughout the country.
Further, on his behalf and on behalf of the State of Nagaland, Rio has extended deepest condolences to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to let the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

Over the years, Ro said late Nochet made positive contributions in all aspects and was always concerned for the welfare of the people.
Describing late Nochet as a hard working and sincere person who still had much to contribute towards “our” society, Rio said his demise was a heavy loss and that his vibrant energy and enthusiasm in “our” common endeavors of working for the people would be missed.
Further, Rio and his family have conveyed deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to let his soul rest in peace.
