ENSF: The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has offered heartfelt condolences on the sudden demise of W. Chuba Khiamniungan, former president of Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC), who passed away at his private residence at Noklak on Tuesday.
ENSF, in a condolence note, expressed its sympathies and sought solace for the departed. “…may the Almighty transform grief into a source of strength for the bereaved family members” it stated. It also conveyed its thoughts and prayers for the bereaved.
NSCN (I-M) Khiamniungan region: NSCN/GPRN central administrative officer (CAO) of Khiamniungan region, ‘lt. col.’ TM Langoi, in a condolence message on behalf of the Khiamniungan region of the GPRN has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the demise of W. Chuba Lam, former president of Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC).
The CAO said late W. Chuba Lam was a dedicated, straight forward and a peace loving leader who had served the people wholeheartedly until his last breath, and his demise has created a huge vacuum for the Khiamniungans in particular and the Eastern Nagas in general. While stating that his sacrifice for the people would always be cherished, the CAO also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
PPC: Phom People’s Council (PPC) has expressed deep sorrow and pain at the untimely demise of W. Chuba Lam, former president, Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) on November 13.
A condolence message from PPC president, P. Chingan Phom and general secretary, P. Changlong Phom stated that the loss late Chuba was a great loss to Khiamniungan people in particular and the ENPO people in general. PPC described him as a sincere, hardworking, decisive and upright leader who had always made supreme sacrifices for the cause of his people. PPC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
PRSU: Pathso Range Student Union (PRSU), in a condolence message by president Shagjiu Longshe and general secretary, Lusang M, described late Chuba as a great leader who had been a motivator to his fellow people, adding that his legacy would forever linger among the hearts of thousands, and in particular, of the PRSU. The union also offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.
Y. Yimchunger: Y. Yimchunger, kilonser, MIP GPRN/NSCN (U), in a condolence note said late W. Chuba was an honest and upright leader who had worked and contributed towards the upliftment of society till his last breath. The message stated that his untimely demise was an irreparable loss to the Khiamniungan tribe in particular and Nagas in general. The kilonser also extended his profound sympathies and prayed to the Almighty God to give spiritual strength to the bereaved family.
