Konyak Union: Konyak Union has mourned the demise of W. Chuba Lam, former president of Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) at his private residence in Noklak town. A condolence message from the union stated that late Chuba was a dedicated, straight forward and peace loving leader who had served the Khiamniungan people in particular and the ENPO in particular, till his last breath. It added that his demise had created a vacuum not only for Khiamniungans but the eastern Naga people as well. Konyak union president Manlip K. expressed the union’s sympathies and prayed for strength for the bereaved family and also for the departed soul to rest in peace.
ERKSU: Eastern Region Khiamniungan Students’ Union (ERKSU) has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of late W Chuba Lam, former KTC president on November 13. A condolence message by ERKSU president, C. Simon and general secretary, T. L. Khaoshai described late Chuba as inspirational soul of leadership, courageous entity and light bearer of Khiamniungan tribe. ERKSU also stated that his demise has left a huge vacuum which cannot be filled. It further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed soul.
