In separate condolence messages, BJP Nagaland and party units have expressed sadness over the untimely demise of Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) Kiphire district president, Thsachola Sangtam on September 29. Naga American Foundation (NAF) has mourned at the demise of late of Dr. Aryo Shishak, who passed away in Dover, New Jersey, in the United States on September 24
BJP Nagaland: BJP Nagaland in condolence message stated that late Thsachola Sangtam strived hard to achieve the district party’s goal and contributed immensely for the party’s development in the district. BJP Nagaland described her as a tireless worker, who encouraged her fellow workers to work hard for the party to bring development to the district. The state president and all the party workers of the state have condoled her demise and prayed for the departed soul and strength for the family in this time of grief.
State BJMM: State Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) in a condolence note described late Thsachola Sangtam as an energetic and tireless worker who never failed to discharge her duties efficiently. BJMM stated that she was a courageous woman who took up the challenge to lead the mahilas of Kiphire district and believed in the empowerment of women of the district in general. BJMM stated that it was a great loss for the BJP mahilas particularly the Kiphire district mahilas for the vacuum left by her. BJMM prayed for the departed soul and family.
BJP minority morcha: BJP minority morcha in a condolence message described late Thsachola Sangtam as a very active leader, who worked for the downtrodden people. BJP minority stated that her untimely death was a great loss for the people of Kiphire district in particular and the people of Nagaland in general. It further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and pray Almighty God for departed soul rest in peace.
NAF: Naga American Foundation (NAF) in a condolence message stated that late Dr. Shishak “uncle Aryo”, was a pillar of the Naga community in the United States. NAF stated that Dr. Shishak was one of few early Nagas to settle in the US, and along with several others, was instrumental in forming the Naga American Foundation (NAF). It stated that late Dr. Shishak and his wife Ngano hosted the first Naga gathering in USA in 1989, which became a biennial tradition of families hosting NAF gatherings and conferences around the country. Dr. Shishak also served as president of the NAF from 2003 to 2007 and was also formerly on its board of directors. NAF stated that late Dr. Shishak’s sincerity of character, genuine care and concern for individuals, regardless of backgrounds or tribal affiliations would truly be missed. NAF has conveyed heartfelt prayers and condolences to the bereaved family and rest to the departed soul.
