FGN: Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) Kedahge, Viyalie Metha, gen (retd), on behalf of the FGN, has expressed deep grief and shock over the demise of kilonser, Gaibon Panmei on January 4, at Samziuram village after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence note, Metha stated that late Gaibon Panmei son of Rangtaujei Panmei was born on March 1, 1934 at Longjang village, Zeliangrong Region, Nagaland. He joined national service (NNC/FGN) on December 20, 1957 and sacrificially served the nation till his last breath. He served the nation in various capacities as regional authority, tatar, midan peyu, dy. rali wali kilonser, full-fledged rali wali kilonser and keyie kilonser, FGN. He was a recipient of Civil Service Awards and the Nagaland Star, the highest award of the Naga Nation.
The release added that he was one of the senior most national leaders. The note continued that he always maintained all necessary records and documents of the nation as well as of the region. He was an octogenarian whose sudden demise, the condolence note said, was an irreparable loss and created a vacuum for the nation and region. “Yet his true sacrifice and patriotic services rendered to the Nation shall always remain alive with honor in the annals of the Naga Nation.” Metha offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
NSCN (I-M): NSCN (I-M) has expressed deep pain at the untimely demise of Tokishe Zhimo, leacy (Ut), son of (Lt.) Luhezhe Zhimomi of Khehoi village, on December 31, 2018, after a prolonged illness. NSCN (I-M), in a condolence note said late Tokishe Zhimo enrolled in the Naga national service in 2015. The note also mourned the passing away of Viheshe Zhimomi, razou peyu (UT) son of (Lt.) Hovishe Zhimo of Nitozu village on January 3, 2019 after a prolonged illness. “He joined the Naga national service on 11-10-2011” the MIP stated. NSCN (I-M) called both the departed noble and diligent national workers, who served the Nation whole-heartedly until their last breath. “Their names shall be recorded and honoured for their sacrifices they have given to the nation” it added. It also offered its condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty God to grant the departed souls eternal rest and peace.
