Condolences for late N Theyo

WC of NNPGs has mourned the demise of N Theyo, former minister on August 29, stating that Nagas in particular and Chakhesang tribe in general, have lost a politically conscious leader.

WC NNPGs in a condolence note through its media cell described late Theyo as a straightforward Naga leader, a courageous man known for speaking from the heart and a man of few words but undoubtedly a born leader. 

It expressed gratitude for his elderly advice and suggestion in the ongoing political talks with GOI. 

WC NNPGs further stated that his faith in Jesus Christ and Naga political right was unshakable and he was among the first few brave members to convert into Christianity from his village, Thinyizumi, Phek district. 

A torchbearer to contemporaries and younger generations, his legacy will live on. 

While stating that he has left a void in Naga society which will be hard to fill, the WC conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty Lord grant eternal solace to the departed leader.

Dr. Vekusa Nienu, USA: Dr. Vekusa Nienu from USA has expressed sorrow at the sudden demise of N. Theyo. 

Dr. Nienu said that he had known late him even before he became involved in politics and regarded him as a friend and brother.  

Dr. Neinu also stated that Theyo lived a life of honesty and integrity even after becoming a minister and in his demise, not only the Chakhesangs, but the entire Nagas will miss a good leader.  

Dr. Neinu together with his wife conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the Lord comfort them.
