Several organizations including MLAs have mourned the demise of Noke Wangnao, advisor of Social Welfare Department, who passed away on August 28 at CIHSR Chumoukedima.
KGOU: Konyak Gazetted Officers’ Union (KGOU) has expressed shock at the sudden demise of Noke Wangnao. The union in a condolence note by its president, Er. Chinglang described late Noke as one of the “staunchest regionalist Naga political leaders” – a man of principle who believed in upholding the best for the Naga society.
KGOU conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty
God grant strength to overcome the sorrow.
NPCC: Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) in a condolence note described late Noke Wangnao as one of the tallest leader from Nagaland and his demise was a great loss for Tapi constituency and the Nagas in general.
Further, NPCC president, S. Supongmeren Jamir prayed that the Almighty God provide strength to his loved ones to overcome the loss and for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Tohihoto Ayemi: Advisor of Tribal Affairs and Election, H. Tovihoto Ayemi has expressed shock on demise of Noke Wangnao on August 28.
Tovihoto said late Noke popularly known as “Baba Noke” was loved by his colleagues for “distinct personality, straight forwardness and simplicity”.
Tovihoto further expressed condolences to the grieving family members and the people of his constituency and prayed for the Noke’s eternal rest.
NSF: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in a condolence note described late Noke Wangnao as a “visionary leader” who had brought about many social changes for the common cause of the Konyak community in particular and the Naga people at large.
NSF said in his demise, the Naga people have lost a tall leader and will continue to occupy a special place in the hearts of the people.
The federation extended condolences the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty God grant to strength to the family to bear with the irreparable.
NSCN/Reformation: NSCN (R) conveyed condolences on the passing away of Noke Wangnao. NSCR (R) recalled late Noke political journey and described him as “statefigure political statesman”. “Late Noke have been the beacon of morality and truly a dedicated leader especially for the Konyak community, without him the general populace of the 43rd TAPI A/C would be in shambles”, MIP of NSCN (R) said. Describing late Noke as a man of “integrity, honest, sincere, straight forward and a principled leader”, the MIP said his legacy would always be in the hearts. Further, NSCN (R) conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace
KUD: Khiamniungan Union Dimapur (KUD) expressed shock on the demise of Noke Wangnao Konyak and said that late Noke dedicated his whole life for the service and uplift of the people with “gentle and a pleasant personality”.
During such time, KUD conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and relative and for Noke’s eternal peace.
ENWOKU: Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation, Kohima Unit (ENWOKU) extended condolences to the bereaved family members of late Noke Wangnao.
In a condolence note, the organization described late Noke as a veteran and an honourable and well known leader, who was loved by the people and was elected many times from 43 A/C Tapi. ENWOKU said his demise was a great loss for the State and the Eastern Nagaland in particular.
Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu: Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu) MLA & leader of NPF Legislature Party in a condolence note considered late Noke as honest politician who was dedicated to his people and the Naga people as a whole. Azo on behalf of the NPF party, offered condolence to the bereaved family prayed that Almighty God grant peace and comfort to overcome the loss.
NPF candidate 43 A/C Tapi: NPF candidate 43 A/C Tapi, Mon Wanglem Konyak in a condolence described late Wangnao as a tall figure not just amongst the Konyak community but within the Nagas.
