Thang Range Public Organisation (TRPO), Noklak condemned the brutal assault on two construction workers– Majmul Laskar and Hansul Haque–at Noklak on May 28, with Hansul succumbing to his injuries later.
TRPO condemned the five accused– Bumo Khiam (48), Shing (20), Khumong (42), Lungoi (25) and Bilal Ahmed (27)–for committing such a heinous crime, declaring that such kind of cowardice act had no place in the society. It maintained that peace and tranquillity had been greatly disturbed by the incident, creating a sense of fear psychosis in the minds of the citizens.
TRPO urged law enforcing agencies to thoroughly investigate the case without any bias and deliver a befitting judgement to those involved so as to avoid such heinous crimes in the future. It also warned that such crime would not be tolerated and that criminals would be dealt with stringently as per law. Meanwhile, TRPO conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and wished speedy recovery of Majmul.
