Consultation on ‘Peren District SDG Roadmap’

Sustainable Development Goals Coordination Centre (SDGCC) of the planning and transformation department organised a district-level consultation for formulating the “SDG District Roadmap” at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren office, Tuesday.


According to a DIPR report, the key objective of the consultation was to formulate the “Peren District SDG Roadmap” to achieve the Nagaland SDG Vision 2030. The roadmap was expected to be comprehensive and inclusive that reflects the aspirations of the Peren district.


In his address, chairperson of the workshop, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) Peren, Kevethito Rose, welcomed the officials from the SDGCC, State Planning Department Kohima, and also highlighted the concept and importance of SDGs in Peren and Nagaland.
He further emphasized the importance of accurate data for proper planning and requested the heads of offices to collect or gather correct data for onward submission.


As part of the consultation, the first technical session was conducted by SDG officer, Abilo Humtsoe, who shared the framework and process for formulating the “SDG District Roadmap”. She also presented the monitoring frameworks and Peren’s performance in the “National Multidimensional Poverty Index 2023,” highlighting the indicators that require improvement in Peren district and the way forward.

In the second technical session, one-on-one department consultations were carried out for all concerned departments to brainstorm and address queries regarding the framework of the “SDG District Roadmap”.


The programme was attended by district planning officer Peren, along with heads of offices and representatives of the district departments.
