Consumer awareness programme held at Tseminyu

DIMAPUR: The Department of Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection along with the office of the Assistant Controller Kohima and Tseminyu District Administration, organized a consumer awareness programme at Christian School Auditorium, Tseminyu. Students and staff from Baptist Higher Secondary School attended the event, which was chaired by Lucy.
Dy. Controller (LMCP) Shiloh Kath served as the resource person, highlighting the concept of a “Smart and Responsible Consumer.” He stressed that consumers must know their rights and responsibilities, make informed decisions, avoid misleading advertisements, check labels and assert their rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
The programme saw active student participation, with queries on the Legal Metrology Act 2009 clarified during the interaction session. The event concluded with words of appreciation from Dr. Jochuhyulo Tsela, administrator of Christian School, Tseminyu.
