In view of the ensuing 77th Independence Day celebration on August 15, district and sub-division administrations across the state organised coordination meetings to chalk out programmes and distribute tasks.
Kiphire: A coordination meeting for the Independence Day celebration was held on August 4 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kiphire office.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, DC Kiphire, John Tsulise Sangtam allocated various responsibilities the different departments and urged all participants to ensure the success of the event.
Peren: In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebration, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar has announced a mass social work on August 11, 9 a.m. onwards at different assigned locations. All heads of offices have been asked to ensure strict attendance of their staff and mobilization of resources for the event.
Kohima: Assam Rifles (AR) under aegis of IGAR (North) organized security coordination meeting with the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) leader on August 4, at Kohima in wake of upcoming Independence Day. AR said the event aimed to boost friendship, synergy and enhance the security consciousness in area by increasing people’s participation. Altogether 29 leaders from various CSOs within Kohima district took part in the meeting.
