DIMAPUR: Cosmos Women Livelihoods and Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Pfutsero held its 9th Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum inauguration of Federation Hut on July 18.
The programme was graced by Zhoi Lohe, Project Director cum District Mission Manager, DMMU NSRLM DRDA Phek, as special guest. Dignitaries present included Vekhrolo Koza, BDO cum BMM RD Block Pfutsero; Marlong Longkumer, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Pfutsero; and Zhalie Puro, Assistant District Programme Manager NSRLM Phek.
In his address, Lohe urged members to put God first, work with humility and serve in the interest of all, setting aside selfish motives. Koza congratulated the federation for its initiatives to meet the needs of member households, while Longkumer encouraged the society to remain a genuine cooperative and converge activities for community upliftment.
Federation president Wepretso ü Kupa expressed gratitude for the support received during her tenure and urged members to extend continuous support to the newly elected office bearers.
This AGM marked the first since the federation’s registration under the Cooperative Society Ltd. Act 2017. The inaugural ceremony of the Federation Hut was led by Kukhrunielu Khamo, with invocation by Neilhou ü Mekru.
The first session, led by Vehutalu Ritse, featured reports from sub committees on social action, loan finance, monitoring, procurement, asset verification, livelihoods promotion and training centre activities for 2025 26, along with plans for 2026 27. The second session included discussions and approval of annual plans.
The programme also featured a special song by Krowaü Mero, announcement of newly elected office bearers by Puhulu Rose, convenor of the election committee, followed by blessing from pastor Wekulo K. Mero. Word of gratitude by Vetolu Mero, and the event concluded with benediction by Achü ü Koza.
