In a bid to combat COVID-19, Tuensang district administration set up an isolation ward at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Chare, Tuensang on March 28.
A press release from JNV Chare stated that, while taking stock of the quarantine facility, Nockpai Konyak, EAC, Chare thanked the staff of PHC Chare and the principal and staff of JNV Chare for extending their ready support and maintaining good hygiene and sanitation in the dormitories as well as the campus. “If we help each other, show kindness and determination, there isn’t a challenge we won’t overcome,” Konyak added.
It may be noted that Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are fully residential and co-educational schools in every district and affiliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE), operated by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), an autonomous body under the HRD ministry.
Altogether 48 beds have been kept ready in the eventuality of requirement of the school.
