COVID vaccine committee emergency meeting in Longleng

An emergency meeting of the Longleng district COVID vaccine committee was held on December 22 at DC conference hall, Longleng, with DC, M. Shayung Phom as chairman. 

According to DIPR report, district immunisation officer gave an overall idea of the stages of immunisation and how the COVID vaccine should be carried in the district. He also highlighted the preparedness of the department in its logistics, transportation, storage etc and encouraged the members and line departments to work together to achieve the mission. Meeting also decided that the ongoing head count survey by the H&FW department should be completed latest by 1st week of January and that no one should be left behind. Committee emphasised that the enumerators should be well trained and all the data be cross checked before final publication. 
Public were also adviced to give full cooperation to the department and to give accurate data as it would help to immunize entire citizens of the district. All the departments were also advised to prepare mentally to participate in the immunization process and should be ready with manpower to support the committee as and when required. In pursuance with the notification of the department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, the Longleng district COVID vaccine committee has been constituted with DC Longleng as chairman, DIO as member secretary along with 14 other members from various departments.
