CoVSc Jalukie promotes ‘dairy benefits’ on ‘World Milk Day’

Commemorating “World Milk Day”, the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (CoVSc) Jalukie organised an awareness programme Saturday at Jalukie Town under the theme, “Let’s celebrate nutritious and sustainable dairy”, to highlight the nutritional and economic benefits of milk and dairy products.


A press release by CoVSc Jalukie stated that assistant professor, (department of livestock products technology) Dr. Kevimese Khate, emphasised the role of milk in supporting bone health, providing essential vitamins and minerals, and contributing to overall well-being.


The event was initiated by Dr. Kevimese Khate along with Dr S. Mukherjee, Dr Raghubir Singh, Dr Ramdas Singh and Gaurav K Saxena under the guidance of CoVSc Jalukie dean, Dr I. Shakuntala.
Apart from the educational sessions, 60 plus participants were served samples of cheese and yogurt, highlighting the usefulness of milk.
