The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) organised a “Friendship Coordination Meet” with the tribal leaders of Kachari and Garo under Chümoukedima and Dimapur districts at Urra Village on April 29.
A press release issued by CPO joint secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu stated that a large number of leaders from CPO, CCCPO, GBs, KTUN, DGUN and leaders from nearby villages participated in the meeting which deliberated on a number of relevant issues pertaining to the age-old mutual friendship. Various speakers affirmed the close association and relationship between the three tribal groups and further assured to uphold their friendship for the greater cause of the society.
The house also resolved to formulate a coordination committee which will be entrusted to work for the welfare of their group.
