The craft demonstration-cum-awareness programme (CDAP) was began at Queen Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on February 6. CDAP is a three-day workshop where students get the opportunity to learn the basics of craftsmanship from master trainers in various crafts.
According to a DIPR report, the programme is organised by Ministry of Textile, DC Handicraft in collaboration with District Industries Centre, Mokokchung with ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe as special guest. Humtsoe in his speech stressed on the importance of skilling oneself to add value while seeking for employment.
The programme was chaired by Inspector of Industries, DIC Mokokchung, Renbenthung Kikon, and the welcome address was delivered by Principal of QMHSS Fr. Sajimon.
Handicraft Promotion Office, Rajib Chandra Roy, DC Handicraft highlighted the schemes of DC Handicraft & benefits of artisans and artisan children.
