CRBC convention underway

Three-day general convention of the Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) 2019 hosted by Tesophenyu Lorinyu Baptist Church at Tesophenyu village commenced on December 20. 

The convention was held under “Let us Rebuild, Word and Prayer” (Nehemiah 2:17-18). 

The convention began after a solemn inaugural ceremony dedicated by Rev. Wachulo Jemu and flag hoisting by CRBC president, Dr. P.S. Lorin.

More than 2000 members comprising of registered delegates from all the churches under CRBC, invitees and local members attended the convention on the first day.  In a press statement, CRBC media and publicity, convenor Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela stated CRBC executive secretary, Haiwalo Apon spoke on the topic, “Let us Rebuild, a Corporate Response”, as the main speaker.  The main speakers for the three day programme are NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho; ministry associate, RZIM, Dr. Kethoser  Aniu Kevichusa;  principal OTS, Dr. Joshua Lorin and CRBC executive secretary, Haiwalo Apon.  The general convention will culminate on December 22. Activities such as bible study, bible quiz, bible recitation, hymnal competition, workshop, etc will be conducted.
