CRO, distt admin destroy expired items

Acting on complaints received from consumers, the Consumer Rights Organisation (CRO) and district administration, Zunheboto conducted a surprise raid in Zunheboto town on August 2.

In a press release, CRO media cell informed that biscuits, juice packets and bottles, sweets, etc., of various brands were seized from a private grocery store. 
CRO president Anthony Aye informed that expired goods amounting to 15 thousand were seized and destroyed and the owner of the grocery store was penalised by the district administration.
Anthony Aye also informed that the Consumer Rights Organisation would continue such raids in the town and that it was the duty of consumers to bring to their notice of such cases.
