The 78 Battalion CRPF celebrated the 87th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force at its headquarters in Sechu-Zubza, commemorating the force’s founding in 1939 as the Crown Representative’s Police at Nimach, Madhya Pradesh.
The day began with Commandant Sh. Devnath Somkunwar paying tribute to fallen personnel at the martyrs’ memorial, followed by a ceremonial salute at the Quarter Guard. A Special Sainik Sammelan was also held where the Commandant addressed the troops and lauded their service and dedication.
As part of the occasion, an investiture ceremony was conducted where DG discs and commendation certificates were presented to deserving personnel for exemplary performance. The event also included a mass plantation drive within the camp premises, reinforcing CRPF’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community welfare.
Across the nation, July 27 was marked with pride and reverence, recognising CRPF’s pivotal role in safeguarding the country’s integrity, unity and internal security. The observance at Sechu-Zubza highlighted the battalion’s dedication to upholding the legacy and values of the force.
