CS cautions against backdoor appointment

State Chief Secretary, CJ Ponraj, has directed all departments to place their requisition for filling up of vacant posts of their respective departments to the NPSC without fail and cautioned against backdoor appointment.
Addressing the meeting of all Head of Departments (AHoDs) and Head of Departments (HoDs) on February 20 in the Secretariat conference hall, the State Chief Secretary has strongly urged against backdoor appointments into government services by the departments so as to ensure selections of the best and to provide equal opportunity to all.
The issue of purchase of garbage disposal truck and the contributions by departments was discussed and the departments concerned were directed to submit their contributions at the earliest. 
It was informed that the public toilet at the Secretariat entrance public area has been constructed by the PHE Department which would be opened to public usage on February 27.
The house has also urged NABARD, HUDCO etc. and other financial institutions to release the funds to the beneficiary organisations without delaying. The observations and suggestions of the Secretary, Ministry of Law & Justice, GOI, was shared during the meeting.
It was decided that the state would also observe the civil services day along with the central government on April 20 and 21. On the occasion of the budget session scheduled on March 17, all departments are directed to submit their materials for Governor’s speech and material of Finance Minister’s speech on or before February 25 and 21 respectively to the Home Department. All departments should also get their annual administrative report ready in time.
The Commissioner and Secretary IT disclosed that the State would soon be having a Call Centre in Dimapur which has already been approved by the ministry which would provide opportunities to the youth. He also urged all the departments to utilize the e-facilities being provided by the IT department.
