
State chief secretary, J Alam, inspected the ongoing construction of 200-bedded Hospital for acute medical care at Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) here Saturday and expressed satisfaction with the progress of work, which got underway in June 2021.
According to a DIPR report, the chief secretary gave a brief outline on how the project was initiated in the State War Room during the peak of covid second wave.
Lauding the team and the implementing agencies for delivering the best, the chief secretary expressed optimism that the project would be completed within a month and would be inaugurated tentatively during the first week of October.
Impressed at the availability of resources and facilities during his first visit, the chief secretary remarked that the hospital can be compared with the other hospitals in the cities. He said that CIHSR had a dedicated team led by its director Dr. Sedevi Angami.
He was accompanied by the health secretary, principal director health and family welfare, chief engineer housing, OSD NSDMA Johnny Rongmei, Sanjay Jaiswal, project in charge, DC Dimapur, CMO Dimapur and officials from Glocal company.
