Taking serious note of the reported environmental hazard caused by solid waste disposal in the upstream of Doyang dam reservoir, chief secretary and chairman State Executive Committee of SDMA J Alam Thursday directed the chairman DDMA Wokha and HOP of North Eastern Electric Power Cooperation Ltd to submit a preliminary report at 10 a.m. on Friday.
In a statement, Home commissioner Vikeyie Kenya said the CS has convened an emergency meeting for coordinated response to undertake specific prevention and mitigation measures by the threatening environmental hazard situation caused by the improper disposal of solid garbage.
