The 3rd Changki Students’ Union (CSU) General Conference cum sports meet concluded on Friday at Changki in a heart-warming valedictory function with K Tiayanger Tzüdir, Director of Treasuries and Accounts, as the guest of honour.
CSU 3rd general conference cum sports meet, which commenced on January 7 was marked with various outdoor and indoor sports activities, choral singing, painting competition etc. A highly spirited contingent from Dimapur was declared the over-all champion and closely followed by the defending champions the Changki village unit. Tzüdir, during his interactive speech, remarked that “perhaps, Changki had excessive blessings in the past” and “took for granted God’s blessing” and therefore has become complacent and landed in trying times.
But drawing examples from the stories of the Israelites, he encouraged the gathering by saying that “people who do not yield to oppressions” eventually moves forward successfully against all odds.
He further reminded the youngsters that success only comes to people who can struggle by themselves without depending on others. While pointing out that Changki is going through a decisive yet uncertain period, he encouraged the youngsters to be ready for any eventualities by remaining united.
Apart from the delegates, the valedictory function was also attended by hundreds of parents from different towns, who had come to witness their wards participate in the much eagerly awaited meet. Most of the delegates are still camping at Changki attending a two-day spiritual awakening camp organized by Changki Mission.
