CSU Kohima science college Jotsoma celebrates Golden Jubilee

Chakhesang Students’ Union of Kohima Science College Jotsoma (CSU KSCJ) celebrated golden jubilee under the theme “Innovate, Motivate, Accelerate” with Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA as the honoured guest on April 12.


Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mero, who is also alumni of KSC, thanked God the pioneers of the CSU KSCJ who have nurtured the union thus far and said “It is all because of them, we are having this celebration today.”


Mentioning that jubilee was a time for forgiveness amongst friends if there is any misunderstanding, he said “It is a time for us to come out from the darkness of life to light of life.”


Talking on advanced technology, he said “Artificial Intelligence has made all of us easier.”
He said that AI has made everyone comfortable and boosted the life in every means.
Dr. Mero, however, said that the rate of competition has become very high in the present society, and also mounting with lots of mental pressure.


“But in the midst of all the advancement, if you have faith in God, if you are diligent, consistent and hardworking, I believe and I hope you’ll be able to achieve the desired aim in your life”, Dr. Mero said.


Further, Dr. Mero urged upon the students to be rooted in “ the Chakhesang identity and culture.” Earlier, Senowekha K. Kenye, first president CSU KSCJ (1975-1979 batch) and director (Rtd), Geology & Mining, released the golden jubilee souvenir while CSU KSCJ president Tewe Medo delivered the welcome address.


The celebration also witnessed invocation and jubilee consecration by Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, senior Pastor, CBCMH Kohima, documentary screening, indigenous tune by Vekriilii Nakro & Hiinulii Hoshi, euphonic presentation from Angami Students’ Union KSCJ, concluding tribute by Dr. Wenyitso Kapfo, advisor CSU KSCJ, benediction by Khatsoyi Sapu, pastor, Phiihgi Baptist Church and golden jubilee banquet and social gathering.
