CSU reaffirms agitation against NHIDCL, RIPPL

DIMAPUR, MAY 26 (NPN):

Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has reaffirmed to continue its agitation against NHIDCL and Ratna Infra. Project Pvt. Ltd. (RIPPL) until its demand was fulfilled.
The union said the decision was taken at its 3rd union assembly held at Zhavame village on May 24, 2025.
CSU said the assembly discussed its agitation against NHIDCL and EPC contractor M/s Ratna Infra. Project Pvt. Ltd. for negligence and inaction at NH-29 Kohima-Jessami road (Package-II, Chakhabama-Kikruma stretch).
CSU said other agendas that were discussed included strict implementation of ILP; monitoring of proxy teachers; monitoring irregularities by government employees; restrictions on taxation from the local entrepreneurs so as to promote entrepreneurship and innovation; and to collect data of Chakhesang culture and traditions for preservation and digital documentation.
The house also deliberated on the issue of teacher shortages within its jurisdiction.
The union informed that Zuketsa Students’ Union would be hosting the 79th general session of CSU in the month of February 2026.
A total of 48 affiliated and subordinate units of CSU, NSF president and senior leaders of CSU attended the union assembly.
Meanwhile, CSU has lauded Zhavame Students’ Union for hosting the assembly.
