CTBC golden jubilee building inaugurated

Chokri Baptist School (CBS) organised parents’ day-cum-Chetheba Town Baptist Church (CTBC) golden jubilee memorial building inauguration programme on Wednesday at the school premises and town hall, Chetheba respectively, graced by chairman of Entrepreneur’s Development Agency, Kohima, Kedecho Khama as the chief guest.
Kedecho in his speech congratulated and thanked the CTBC for constructing the jubilee memorial building in the school. He said that today the churches had become material oriented and ignored to work for the development of youth.  He urged the community to work together for the upliftment of the school and make it a God fearing centre.      
He encouraged parents to give their time and work for their children to receive the quality education and to become quality leaders.  Kedecho also urged the parents and teachers to guide the children to discover their talents.
The chief guest challenged the parents to let their children venture into business.  He articulated that government job was not the only option for the children. A successful businessman had much more income than the government servant with no one to rule over them. He conveyed that honesty and hard labour could achieve them success in business.
During the program, the headmaster presented the school report and also expressed gratitude to CTBC for constructing the jubilee memorial building in the school and mentioned that the new building had brought a facelift to the school. He also said that the new building would boost the academic performance of the students. Further, he said that 100% qualified was recorded in the HSLC examination 2016 by the first batch of students from the school. 
The main attraction of the program was the CBS band and the choir with instrument performing on stage. The excellence awards were also given to the students during the program for annual games and sports and annual literary competitions.
