Amidst the rising cases rabies cases within Chümoukedima Town jurisdiction, Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC), in accordance of Section 61 (d), & (f) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023, with regard to public health safety and prevention of cruelty to animals, has issued several safety measures to all concerned ward, individual (dog owners).
In a press release, CTC informed all dog owners to vaccinate their dogs with Anit-Rabies and keep record of dog’s vaccination history and medical reports. It also informed that infected dog should be killed and disposed to prevent further transmission of the diseases, and further directed all dog owners to confine their dogs from 6 AM to 6 PM compulsorily.
CTC informed that defaulter(s)/dog owners would be penalized as per provision of law.
