CTC regional journalism seminar concludes

A three-day regional seminar on “New Media Challenges and Alternatives: Towards Peace Journalism” organized jointly by Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre (CCCRC) and Clark Centre for Peace Research and Action (CCPRA), Clark Theological College (CTC) concluded successfully on January 18.

A press release from CCPRA program coordinator, Imtiwala Imchen stated that Dr. Samuel W. Meshack, global president of World Association for Christian Communication, Canada and pro-vice chancellor of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong delivered the key note address. 
Resource persons for the seminar were Dr. Mohan Razu, professor of Social Ethics, Bangalore; Dr. Peter Singh, professor of Communication and Media Studies, Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary, Madurai and visiting professor, Kamaraj University; Dr. Lanusenla, professor of Communication and Media Studies, Gossner Theological College, Ranchi, Jarkhan; Dr. A. Temjen Jamir, academic dean and professor of Communication and Media Studies, Clark Theological College, Aolijen; Butesen Ozüküm, Shillong. 
Morning devotions were led by Tinumeren Ozüküm, research scholar, Friedrich Alexander University, Erlangen Nuremberg, Germany. Altogether ten papers were read and deliberated on during the seminar. 
Altogether 57 participants, including communication scholars, theological educators, social activists, journalists, media practitioners and doctoral as well as master’s students of CTC participated in the seminar.
