Taking note of many Naga political groups issuing “information slip for collection of tax” under Chümoukedima town, the Chümoukedima Town Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CTCCTA) has warned that any business establishments paying tax to any group would be doing so at their own risk.
In a press release, CTCCTA information and publicity Abung Pamei stated that collection of tax was “totally against” the resolution adopted by the general public of Chümoukedima town at weekly Saturday market on February 14, 2014.
As per the resolution, CTCCTA said that trade licence of those who pay tax would be cancelled and excommunicated from Chümoukedima town.
Meanwhile, the chamber hasa directed the owners of RO drinking water (20 litre jar) to maintain proper hygiene.
The courier service operators and courier service owners have also been reminded to dispense their services since warning has been issued several times.
