CTCSU conducts 28th general session 2017

The 28th general session of the Chozuba Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (CTCSU) was held on December 22 at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall with Vekhozo Ringa, state coordinator, SSA, Nagaland as the special guest and Dr. Khangaka Keyho, research scholar, JNU (Delhi) as session speaker on the theme “explore the possibilities”.
A press release by CTCSU debate, seminar and symposium secretary Veyito Nyekha stated that Vekhozo Ringa exhorted that there was no short cut to success but required hard labour in order to achieve one’s dream. He advised the students to make assessment of whether they were liabilities or assets to the society, and remarked that it was the ego which was creating liabilities in society.
He said that it was not because of the illiterate/uneducated people or the variations of intelligence, which was breaking societies, churches, communities etc.
He also asserted on the fact that if anyone wanted to be a leader, they needed to listen or coordinate with other’s decision.
While challenging the students to become leaders now and not only in future, he added that it was possible to change the society for a better future.
Session speaker, Dr Khangaka Keyho said that there was a need to bridge the gap of spiritual education, as a gap in relationship with God was created while pursuing secular education.
He added that corruption, dishonesty and all other forms of injustices did not start all of a sudden, but was rooted from childhood when foundational education was inculcated to the children.
Mhakhoyi Nyekha, president CTCSU in his presidential address challenged the students to dare to dream of what may seem impossible and encouraged them to dream big, and that they could achieve the best. He called upon the students to work together, refine and define the meaning of “excellence: and achieve the dreams which many would dare to dream of.
Other highlights included release of yearly bulletin, “The Insight” and folk tune presented by the Women Welfare Society Chozuba Town.
