CTS flays ‘molestation’ of minors

Changsao Thangjam Setshang (CTS) has strongly condemned the alleged molestation of four minor students by a headmaster of a private school in Tuensang on September 19, which it termed as “inhuman and devilish.”

In a statement, CTS president C Asenla general secretary Onounungla alleged that it was not the first time that the accused had sexually assaulted his own minor students. CTS asserted that sexual assault on minors was a serious crime against humanity and one that would affect their psychological and mental well-being. “In the land filled with love and peace, an outsider earning his daily bread and committing such crimes one our children should be dealt in a serious manner so that no similar case arise in the future.

Thus, every right thinking citizen should come forward and condemn the act,” they appealed. CTS also urged the law enforcing authorities to book the culprit as per relevant sections of law without leniency.
It was learnt that Tuensang police, based on an FIR lodged on September 19, arrested the accused. The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
