CTYO, CCCTA object court order on oil tankers

Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation (CTYO) and Chumukedima Chambers of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA) have expressed “shock” that the Court has ordered the release of eight empty oil tankers out of 11 tankers confined within the premises of the fuel adulteration site at Chumukedima.
In a joint press release, Chumukedima Chambers of Commerce and Trade Association president Avi Chase and Chumukedima Town Youth Organisation president Vibu Medoze sought to clarify that according to the police seizure list, there were “only seven empty tankers, the rest 4 being loaded.”
The two organisations further maintained that “the court should rectify its order since the anomaly shows that either one tanker has been pilfered of SK oil or the court order has clerical mistake.”
They stated that whatsoever the reason, the court should thoroughly probe the whole issue “since releasing the tankers at this stage will definitely hamper investigation when charge sheet hasn’t been filed by the police in that adulteration case.”
In case the tanker has been pilfered of SK oil, the two organisations stated that the police should take necessary action.
