
Culmination programme of Clean India campaign was held on October 30, at Old MLA Junction, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, addressing the participants as special guest, ADC Kohima, N. Bhavani Sri said that the campaign was planned with a vision to mobilise public to participate voluntarily in the nationwide drive of waste collection and their disposal.
She said that unless people practiced proper waste management and maintained public toilets, cleanliness would not sustain.
She encouraged citizens to carry forward the message of cleanliness and continue to contribute their services to keep the city and surroundings clean for a better future.
Earlier, ADC also administered the pledge for clean India and flagged off the cleanliness drive.
Volunteers from NYKS, NSS and Bharat Scout and Guides (BS&G) took part in the programme and carried out cleanliness drive from old MLA Junction to Rhazu point.
