Second day of the Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama was marked by cultural extravaganza of various Nagaland tribes.
On the first day of the festival, a total of 14, 482 visitors including 157 foreign, 3205 domestic and 11,120 local tourists visited Kisama. The second day witnessed a total of 11,095 including 221 foreign tourists, 3985 domestic and 6889 local tourists.
Addressing the gathering as special guest, director of External Affairs South Asia Office (SAO) Ravi Bhatnagar wished the people of Nagaland on occasion of the 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival on Friday.
Bhatnagar said, as representative of Reckitt, the department had recognised that a healthy adolescent was a key to a healthier and happier future. He mentioned that the holistic understanding coupled with the coordination of people and Reckitt had translated into a robust programme, noting that the Centre has actively participated in a partnership with the State government.
He sought the government’s support to implement the programmes and help in educating the adolescents in the age group 10-19 years and help them grow up with life skill education.
Housing and Mechanical minister Tongpang Ozukum was host of the festival, while co-host was IT, Science & Tech, NRE adviser Mmhonlumo Kikon.
Later in the afternoon session, GOC of 101 Arena, Lt General KC Panchanathan was the special guest.
