A “Cultural Show” was organised at the Naga Heritage village, Kisama on Wednesday evening on the side-line of the G20 summit hosted by Nagaland from April 4 – 6.
The guests were enthralled with daring and dashing performances by different ethnic tribes with their cultural songs and dances.
Delivering his welcome note, minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Temjem Imna Along welcomed the G20 delegates to the Naga Heritage village, Kisama where the Hornbill festival is held every year.
Along said that the “Hornbill Festival” is organized every year by the State government since 2000 under the patronage and visionary leader of the present chief minister, Neiphiu Rio. He informed that it is also known as the “Festival of Festivals” with an idea to showcase the unique culture and traditions of the Nagas at a common platform where all the Naga tribes enthusiastically partake with their vibrant culture and traditions during this festival.
The Minister also thanked the delegates for coming to the “Land of Festivals” and asked them to enjoy their short stay in Nagaland with excitement and to make it memorable.
